Bellevue Children’s Academy offers a full-day Japanese Bilingual Pre-Kindergarten Program which focuses on building the foundation to become the global leaders.
They will learn all fundamental reading, language arts, writing, and math in both Japanese and English. Music, Arts, Computer, PE, Drama will be introduced.
“BCA Bilingual Pre-Kindergarten is a full-day program designed for 4-year-olds, emphasizing active and interactive learning. Children learn the fundamentals and mechanics of both Japanese and English languages, developing the ability to read and write in both languages. Our unique BCA curriculum incorporates a Japanese-style approach to mathematics, fostering the development of intellectual talents and acquiring a strong sense of numerical skills at an early stage.
With a small class size of 10 students, we provide a warm and supportive environment for children as they embark on their first school experience. In addition to language learning, our program offers a wide range of subjects taught by specialized teachers, including art, drama, music, physical education, and computer skills. We also integrate programs that promote character development, fostering a sense of global awareness and understanding.

BCAバイリンガルPreKは主体的・対話的で深い学びを実践する全日制の4歳児対象のプレキンダーガーテンです。日本語も英語もその基礎と言語のメカニズムを習い、両言語において読み書きできる力を養います。算数においては日本式をとりいれたBCA独自の教材を使用し、知的才能開発をとり入れ早い時期に算数のセンスを習得します。
１クラス10名の少人数制で初めての学校生活を温かく励ましながら指導をします。語学にとどまらず、アート、ドラマ、音楽、体育、コンピューターなど専門教師による科目も充実し、情操教育、国際理解を深めるプログラムも取り入れています。一人一人の個性を大切にしながら、日本語と英語と両言語を理解し、未来へ力強く生きる国際社会人の育成を目標にしています。

Bilingual PreK FAQ
Q: バイリンガルクラスでの英語と日本語の割合はどの程度になりますか。
A: 最初は日本語の割合が7割くらいからスタートします。英語の言語のメカニズムを紹介し、自分で読めるようになる段階で英語の割合を増やしていきます。最終的には5割を目指しキンダーへの準備をします。才能開発指導で学習一般の基礎力を身につけます。
Q: 23-24年のバイリンガルPre-Kは、このクラスの修了時点で現地のキンダーに入れるくらいの英語力は付くのでしょうか？
A: BCA独自のカリキュラムであるphonicsを使用して、日本語と同じ音声言語である英語を自分で読めるようにしていきます。単語力はご家庭の言語環境によっていろいろだと思いますが、現地校でのキンダーで必要な英語力は十分につきます。
Q: 英語または日本語しか話せなくても、バイリンガルクラスに入学は可能でしょうか。
A: 可能です
Q: 入学に際して条件などありますか。
A: 集団行動が無理なく出来る、トイレトレーニングが完了しているといった入学のための生活基準があります。
Q: 入学希望にあたり、テストや抽選、定員はありますか？
A: 定員は1クラス10名です。テストや抽選はありませんが面接があります。原則として先着順の申し込み受付になります。
Q: 入学時には、どの程度の日本語もしくは英語の能力が必要でしょうか。
A: 言語能力はそれぞれの家庭環境によって違うので 言語の入学基準はありません。
Q: バイリンガルKを行う予定は、23-24年、24-25年はないのですか？
A: 今回の募集はPre-Kindergartenの新しい校舎開校の募集で、バイリンガルPre-Kのみで キンダーはありません。バイリンガルKは２０２４－２０２５に引き続いて開設予定です。
Q: バイリンガルPre-K入学者は、そのままバイリンガルKに進級することはできますか。
A: クラスの人数がそろえば可能です。
Q: バイリンガルKから入学を希望する場合は、入学試験などはありますか。また、Pre-Kの生徒が多い場合は、Kから入学できますか。
A: バイリンガルKは英語と日本語が5割ずつのプログラムなので簡単な入学試験があります。PreKは定員10名ですが、Ｋは14名となります。
Q: 来年度以降は、奨学金の制度はどのようになりますか。また、奨学金の基準などはありますか。
A: 新校舎での初開校において、４歳児のバイリンガルクラスの授業料の50％を奨学金とします。（Yuka Shimizu Scholarship）今年度はクラスの生徒全体に奨学金が授与されます。来年度は申請制度となります。
Q: スペシャリストクラスは、英語と日本語どちらになりますか。
A: PreKでは日本語による指導が大半となります。使用教材は英語となります。
