By working together and taking small leadership roles, children build empathy and self-awareness - skills that set the stage for future learning and personal growth.
In Preschool, children begin building foundational literacy skills through engaging, developmentally appropriate activities. Teachers introduce one letter per week, helping students learn to recognize letter names, match upper- and lower-case forms, and identify corresponding sounds. Throughout the year, previously learned letters are continually reviewed to support mastery of the full alphabet.
In Pre-Kindergarten, literacy development expands as students participate in structured units of study. Over the course of the year, instruction progresses from single letters and sounds to more advanced skills, including consonant-vowel-consonant (CVC) words, sight words, and sound blending for early reading.
When children feel safe, they are willing to try, grow, and believe in themselves.
